Bicornio

Bicornio, 1:30 Soldado del Prado

Bicornio, a two-cornered hat popularized by Napoleon. It could be worn fore and aft, facing diagonally, or sideways. The bicornio replaced the older tricornio as military headdress for officers around 1790, and remained in service until the beginning of the 20th century. The bicornio for other ranks was superceded by the more practical chacó and cavalry helmet.
